A lecturer, writer, broadcaster, critic, and teacher. He is a member of the Speaker’s Bureau of the New York Council for the Humanities. He has spoken at universities and art and history museums in 34 states and the District of Columbia. He appears with Cindy miller and Allen Jones, two singers in cabaret-style performances enhanced by Lasser’s knowledge of the songwriters, the music’s history, and how the songs amuse us and stir our emotions. He is a Peabody Award Winner and will be presenting, “ An Evening of Gershwin.”
